Service Management to me is finding a balance between structure & flexibility but also between people, processes and (IT-)resources. The KISS-principle (= Keep IT Simple & Sustainable) is the baseline for the design of the operating model which I like to establish together with the client and suits their needs.
I very much enjoyed the career path certification "Digital Transformation Officer". It has a very practical model and still is focused on achieving the best possible solution from combining elements from various frameworks, methods and theories which are available in our current digital enriched world. Finally the way I have been performing in client assignments since 1998 now is 'formalized' and available for everybody to use for the benefit of their clients and themselves.
